I've never supported corporate bailouts, so I respectfully stepped back and got off the board.

Thank you, Chairman Tiffany. It is another busy week for the Federal Lands Subcommittee, and today's overview of tribal forestry is an important and welcome focus.

I think it is important that, as we talk about these programs that I think are pushing us into the right kind of collaboration, co-stewardship, that they also take resources, right?

I appreciate that they are with us here today. I look forward to working with my colleagues and, of course, Chairman Tiffany on finding ways to address that disparity.

When you look across, as Representative Wittman said, some cases it is bringing the work to the people.

I don't know what is happening in the country, but I know there is nothing our nation and the people of Texas cannot handle.

As chairman of the Work and Welfare Subcommittee, I have tremendous respect for the longstanding bipartisan work that has been done by this subcommittee.
