Today, in yet another a win for Oregon voters, a federal court blocked President Trump’s March 2026 executive order restricting mail-in voting and infringing upon states’ authority to administer elections.

The law cannot be any clearer– states run elections, the federal government is not entitled to Michigan voters’ personal data, and the president cannot change election law with the stroke of a pen.

The headlines come out of Washington D.C. But the reality is, the people in this room are the backbone of our democracy.

You lose your manufacturing, you lose your hospital. You lose your hospital, no company is coming to town.

Every time I go home, it don’t look the same.

The DOJ’s announcement that it plans to appeal a federal judge’s ruling that barred them from accessing Arizona’s voter registration database today is nothing more than ongoing political theater and further damage to Arizona taxpayers.

I remain confident that Rhode Island is well-positioned to lead in the nation on innovative ways to involve our citizens in our democracy like this.

I want to bring in people that are already in government to get around the table and make sure that we identify any potential fraud, identify any potential waste and identify any potential abuse that’s going on within state government.

I am the only candidate who has a long record of accomplishments.

Election officials remain committed to conducting a secure, accurate, and accessible election despite potential weather-related challenges.

Our priority is ensuring every eligible voter has the opportunity to cast a ballot while maintaining the safety of voters, election workers, and the public.

We encourage voters to plan ahead and seek to vote prior to severe weather impacting their area, if possible.

This should signal to the rest of the nation that Indiana will continue to lead the way in election integrity and security.

I have been a fierce advocate and helped ensure that anyone who wishes to vote in our elections must be able to prove they are a citizen and lawfully allowed to participate in our sacred right to vote.

The message I give today is, ‘Please, consumers: Take a moment, take a deep breath, check it out. Don’t take it at face value,'

If there was an error significant enough to affect the outcome, this process is designed to catch it.

That means that more people are making sure that power answers to them, not the other way around, and that I think is probably why Oregon has become a target for the Trump administration.

We already have strong physical security and operational measures in place, and where the federal government is stepping back, Oregon is stepping up.
