We are prepared to respond if a package arrives in Oregon, and we will do everything we can to protect Oregonians’ safety and the integrity of our elections.

We are not aware of any additional suspicious packages heading to Oregon, but our office and our federal partners remain vigilant, and we are asking local elections officials to do the same.

It’s not that the Postal Service is something you should avoid.

We can’t count on it.

I cannot believe that that timing is coincidental.

It’s completely unacceptable, but unfortunately, it is not surprising for this administration.

You can be confident your ballot will be postmarked and delivered on time if you mail it at least a week before election day.

The Oregon Health Plan is a critical program that supports the wellbeing of Oregonians, which is why it must be administered efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with federal rules.

More Oregonians had their voices go unheard just because their ballots couldn’t make it through the mail in time.

Due to uncertainty surrounding mail-in ballots and how they are processed by the U.S. Postal Service, (the Secretary of State’s Office) will be encouraging Oregonians to use ballot boxes to drop off their ballots instead of mailing them…

The purpose of this directive is to provide certainty to local elections officials and to voters alike: Our elections will go forward as they normally do.

The bottom line is: Oregon’s elections are secure, accurate and fair.

People in state custody with limited English proficiency should not receive worse care simply because they can’t communicate as well with the people responsible for their health and safety.

Oregon’s adults in custody are in the care of the state, and it is the state’s responsibility to ensure they are safe and healthy as they are held accountable for their actions, go through rehabilitation, and prepare to return to society.

We’ll pursue every legal authority that we have. We’ll work with our Department of Justice.

There’s hundreds of (dropboxes) across Oregon. That is an even safer, more reliable way because we don’t have to worry about the post office.

We successfully defended Oregonians’ private voter information in federal court, and we’re working closely with county clerks across Oregon to strengthen election security.

This is not about improving elections. It’s about putting political pressure on the people responsible for administering them.

Today, in yet another a win for Oregon voters, a federal court blocked President Trump’s March 2026 executive order restricting mail-in voting and infringing upon states’ authority to administer elections.

That means that more people are making sure that power answers to them, not the other way around, and that I think is probably why Oregon has become a target for the Trump administration.

We already have strong physical security and operational measures in place, and where the federal government is stepping back, Oregon is stepping up.
