When we think about the American rescue plan, a lot of the president`s priority and our priority around it was equity, making sure that everyone wherever they are, that they`re not overlooked, that they`re not left behind.

The reason that we have so many drugs coming into this country is a direct result of prohibitionist policies

It should also remove cannabis from Schedule I.

It should repeal mandatory minimum sentences.

First, Congress should not extend the class-wide ban on fentanyl analogues.

We don't need more data about how these policies are harmful and ineffective. We need action.

Mandatory minimums impose long prison sentences and are disproportionately levied against people of color.

At the end of the day, many of these bills are reactionary to a three-month disinformation campaign that could have been prevented.
