At its core, Roe recognizes the fundamental right to privacy.

How dare they tell a woman what she can do and cannot do with her own body? How dare they try to stop her from determining her own future?

If the court overturns Roe v. Wade, it will be a direct assault on freedom, on the fundamental rights of self-determination, to which all Americans are entitled.

Women’s rights in America are under attack. Roe v. Wade has protected a woman’s right, her right to make decisions about her own body for nearly half-a-century.

The VP has noticed this and she would like folks to stand, staff members to stand, when she enters the room.

It’s so important for us to not just ensure truth continues to emerge as to just how far folks were willing to go to overturn a free and fair election just because they didn’t like the results. Because we not only need to see justice and…

I felt such a deep sense of pride and joy, and about what this moment means for our nation and for her future.

I think it makes an important statement about who we aspire to be, who we are, who we believe ourselves to be.

Today is, indeed, a wonderful day... as we gather to celebrate the confirmation of the next justice of the United States Supreme Court, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson.

It`s the right thing and I cannot wait to watch her be sworn in as the next justice on the United States Supreme Court.

We have to, you know, protect our democracy, understand that it`s not about helping Democrats. It`s about keeping our systems in place.

I experienced great joy when I watched this brilliant, phenomenal black woman jurist be so smart and just cut through the political gamesmanship that they were attempting to incite.

When we look at what we achieved in terms of putting in place a system around getting vaccines for people, so now over 200 -- I think it`s in 15 million people have been vaccinated in our country. And as result, we`ve been able to reopen…

Not one Republican voted for the American rescue plan, which brought $1,400 checks to people when they needed it most. When we had millions of people out of work through no fault of their own.

Even without Republicans' help in passing key legislations.

The point has to be, what are we doing to stand up against that, right? And so we have been attempting, for example, in the -- in Congress to get the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act passed, the Freedom to Vote Act passed.

There should be accountability.
