For decades we have been fighting for land, and it is about time we got an opportunity and the Tribes came together for the betterment of the whole entire Oceti Sakowin, and we were able to secure it.

We thank our South Dakota Senators and Congressman, Dusty Johnson, for their leadership on this important matter concerning Wounded Knee.

This bill is an important step in our nation-to-nation relationship.

The Wounded Knee Massacre Memorial and Sacred Site Act is the next step in the healing process.
