Frank Star Comes Out: “We thank our South Dakota Senators and Congressman, Dusty Johnson, for their leadership on this important matter…”

I have human beings who are being killed and seriously hurt, and as the duly elected leader of the Tribe and a former military officer, I take that very seriously.

We urge Congress to quickly pass this bill and respectfully ask President Biden to sign it into law.

For decades we have been fighting for land, and it is about time we got an opportunity and the Tribes came together for the betterment of the whole entire Oceti Sakowin, and we were able to secure it.

This bill is an important step in our nation-to-nation relationship.
