Former mayors
We cannot try and convince ourselves that because something is illegal Donald Trump will not do it.
It is wrong to accept any part of the administration’s deportation agenda.
This is a city where we will choose our own mayor. It’s not going to be Donald Trump, it’s not going to be Bill Ackman. It’s not going to be Door Dash. We will choose our mayor.
You know that something has changed when it’s not enough to call us democratic socialists anymore.
My question is: Why did Trump cut $468 million from the ATF’s budget in his nasty signature bill? Why did he cut funding for the agency responsible for getting guns off our streets by almost 30%?
While I will always listen if called to serve our country, no formal offers have been made. I am still running for reelection, and my full focus is on the safety and quality of life of every New Yorker.
Serving New Yorkers as their mayor is the only job I’ve ever wanted. I’m proud of the progress we’ve made lowering crime, improving schools, building housing, and cutting costs for working families — and I remain the best person to lead…
But if it comes to the expense of New Yorkers, I would fight them each and every step of the way.
[A relationship] would be one where I would be willing to work with him if it was to the benefit of New Yorkers, if Donald Trump wanted to follow through on his promise to actually make grocery prices lower as he had spent much of his…
The issue here is that all of this is working backwards from President Trump’s desire to try and heighten the odds of any candidate to defeat me, and we are confident that no matter what formulation of this race takes, whether it’s me…
We’ve seen that Donald Trump views the law as a suggestion. He believes that it’s something that he’s above, and what he’s showing is that he’s willing to utilize any tool, whether those real or imagined, to try and shape this race.
I am just as confident as I was of winning this race, I am just as outraged as I was about Donald Trump’s attempts to intervene in this race. The focus, however, has to continue to be the struggles of working New Yorkers.
That’s what I would do. And confident bringing even more New Yorkers into the political process like we did in June, where we saw the largest number of young people coming out to vote that we’ve seen in recent history in the city
If you win an election, you have to govern to fulfill the promises of that. Otherwise, what is the point of our politics
What we want from the president is very simple—reinstating all the cuts that they’ve made to federal grants to programs that have been working to reduce violence.
I am still running for reelection, and my full focus is on the safety and quality of life of every New Yorker.
I’m proud of the progress we’ve made lowering crime, improving schools, building housing, and cutting costs for working families — and I remain the best person to lead this city forward.
Serving New Yorkers as their mayor is the only job I’ve ever wanted.
None of us are celebrating and saying that we solved gun violence. What we are saying is we are in the best position that we've ever been in 50 years, and now we want to take it further.
When it comes to public safety in Baltimore, [President Trump] should turn off the right-wing propaganda and look at the facts. Baltimore is the safest it's been in over 50 years.
California, Oregon, and Washington will not allow the people of our states to be put at risk.
