I need to deliver immediate relief to New Yorkers, and one of the areas where there's a lot of anxiety is around paying utility bills.

When you think about the stress that New Yorkers are under with the high cost of everything, and Donald Trump promised lower prices day one, and we're still waiting for that.

Today, I met with New Yorkers who have been impacted by ICE’s cruel and dangerous actions. This overreach is unacceptable and will never be tolerated in this state.

But Donald Trump said when he ran for office, 'I'm going to go after the worst of the worst, the baddest of the bad,' and people believed him.

This is about protecting people who came, just like my grandparents came here in search of a better life and started with nothing, they were dirt poor.

Next, we are also making sure that people have a constitutional right to go to court if the federal government ICE agents have violated their rights.

We're also saying there is no reason why ICE agents need to have a mask on. Other federal agents do not.

Just as you hear from me on what we're intending to do in a few moments is to say that we will not be allowing civil immigration to occur with ICE agents in sensitive locations unless you have a court order or warrant for arrest.

I'll be clear, and I'll say it now and I'll say it 100 times: New York is not a sanctuary for criminals, and we will cooperate when crimes are being committed, going after dangerous criminals — not the act of crossing the border, but…

We don't need law enforcement wearing masks. We don't need any of our law enforcement wearing masks.

You have to follow our laws in the state of New York. You cannot be a law breaker.

If he's going to stand there and defend the policies of ICE and Donald Trump, then I think that's a losing formula for this next election.

What I have identified is the fact that when our local police are doing something other than focus on local crimes, they're not keeping the communities they're sworn to protect safe.

I'm fighting for New Yorkers, I'm putting them first...Of course I'm going to be critical. Because there's so many things that are so wrong with what [Trump's] doing to our country and our state.

My job is to deliver the best Budget I can for New Yorkers. New Yorkers are struggling, they're looking to us for the leadership that they're not getting out of Washington.

New York’s growers are second to none and many have taken a significant hit, with some reporting upwards of a 100 percent loss of their crop and millions in economic loss.

This agreement is a fair deal for both CSEA members and the State of New York.
