Liz Cheney is an American attorney and politician who served as the U.S. Representative for Wyoming's at-large congressional district from 2017 to 2023. A member of the Republican Party, she is the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney. During her time in Congress, Cheney was known for her strong stance on national security and her opposition to former President Donald Trump, particularly following the events of January 6, 2021, which led to her being removed from her leadership position within the House Republican Conference.
