Nuclear waste is not a technical problem, it is a political problem.

There are some people that just oppose nuclear energy. And I am wondering to see if there is somebody that is out there trying to slow things down intentionally because of their concerns regarding the issue of nuclear energy.

I actually believe that you, and I believe the Secretary of Energy, really want to speed this up and are not the cause of the inaction.

U.S. uranium is critical to America's energy security.

Chairman Manchin and Senator Risch and I introduced legislation to authorize the Department to execute its plan to ensure U.S. nuclear fuel availability, but the program needs to be funded.

I have urged the Department to accelerate its efforts to establish a U.S. source for high-assay low-enriched uranium.

Nuclear power is our nation's largest source of carbon-free electricity.

We must reestablish the United States as the global leader in nuclear energy.

Our nuclear energy industry is ready to transition away from Russian uranium.

Do you agree we need to ban Russian uranium to provide American nuclear fuel suppliers with some market certainty?

It seems every dollar we give to Russia supports Putin's war against Ukraine.

So my question to you is, as more of our allies in Europe and around the world look to wean themselves off of Russian gas, how important is it, here in the United States, that we increase U.S. LNG export capacity?

We cannot allow President Biden to throw away America's hard-won energy independence and increase our reliance on China and Russia.

Action to date has raised the costs of the Chinese Government's brutal policies in the Uyghur region, and that is a good thing for the Uyghurs.

The stronger the possible enforcement of the UFLPA against corporations complicit in the abuses taking place in the Uyghur region is the best way forward.
