I spoke to President Trump this afternoon and thanked him for acting quickly to approve this request and deliver help to the people of West Virginia.

We will be listening. We need to listen to learn about all the challenges that families are facing, and we know one of the big challenges that they’re facing deals with clean water.

It does take time to muck out the homes. It takes time to rebuild the bridges and the roads and do the things that are necessary for long-term recovery.

These investments strengthen our position as America’s energy state, create good-paying jobs, and help ensure we can meet the nation’s growing demand for reliable, affordable power.

West Virginia is demonstrating that we can lead with coal, natural gas, nuclear energy and other forms of reliable energy that power America’s future.

The allegations against Delegate Pritt are truly heinous at a level that’s hard to imagine. If even slightly true, they should disqualify him from ever being around kids again. No person who did such things should be in public office or…

Every hour as we learn more about what the communities need. We’re going to adjust our response and we’re going to stand by these communities.

I can’t emphasize enough how important it is for people to work and collaborate with us because our submission to FEMA is only as good as what comes in our way from individual citizens and communities.

We have to do this the right way.
