Thank you for allowing me this opportunity to provide comments today on S. 1415.

We sincerely thank you again for the opportunity to have been heard on this proposal.

The bill would desecrate and destroy an area of religious and sacred significance to the Apache and Yavapai people.

Thank you. I want to thank both of you all for being here. We appreciate so much your testimonies and we'll put all that in the record. Thank you.

Do you all have any idea how it would or what's your thoughts about how it would create jobs for the tribes and non-tribal people in the area?

The American public cannot afford this deal.

I know that you strongly oppose it, and I also understand that the bill has the support of the Arizona delegation, hence, that creates a little bit of a controversy.

S. 1414 has the potential to yield both jobs and justice.

This legislation is a special interest give-away of unprecedented proportions to a foreign owned entity with no attachment to our nation.

So all in total, it's about $475 million to the Treasury, the taxpayers.

I am looking forward to the Senate acting on legislation that would take the mine out of commission and lift this two-decades long burden off the backs of my constituents.

We have a sacred responsibility to use the land responsibly and preserve it where we can.

I stand ready to work with you to advance these very important pieces of legislation, and I urge my colleagues for their support.

I also want to thank the other Members of the Committee--Senators Merkley, Manchin, Heitkamp, and Johanns--who have signed on as co-sponsors of S. 947.

I want to thank Senators Hagan and Toomey for taking the lead in sponsoring S. 947.

We have got to get our financial house in order.

Thank you, Mr. Chairman. And thank you, Ms. Yellen. I enjoyed our visit and you have done a great job today.

We have failed miserably, as Congress, to do our job.

Could we balance a budget again?

It's been my view that if we tee this up right we can have all of those benefits including benefits for renewables.

Sometimes the more you learn about natural gas exports, sometimes the less you think you know because it is a complicated issue.

I think you know I'm very interested in working closely with you and Senator Murkowski.

If they don't get to export natural gas, unless I'm missing something, it's stranded.

I think Mr. Smith was helpful today on the pause issue because you know there's been a lot of discussion.
