It should be unacceptable for us to allow homeless veterans be housed in potentially unsafe conditions.

As a licensed professional engineer, I found this to be an egregious omission in the law governing VA homeless program funds.

There has to be and should be a follow-up. For something as serious as this, there should be ongoing investigation to see that our men and women are safe.

I think it has fallen through the cracks, that these could be addressed over a period of time and corrected, and our veterans would be housed in an equal, comparable to many other situations.

As a Nation, it should be unacceptable for us to allow homeless veterans be housed in potentially unsafe conditions.

Thank you for holding this legislative hearing today on these important issues that affect our Nation's veterans.

Unfortunately, there is no law mandating VA homeless shelters meet code.

This is common-sense legislation that would ensure the well-being of our veterans.

I think the idea of using it is fine, but then to cut the research for it shows it is disingenuous on the part of this administration.

I am going to support the all-of-the-above, the renewables.

I think the DOE and the EPA have become the worst nightmare for the working men and women in our coal fields across America.

Coal is my worst nightmare.

I think you have gone away from those principles.

If we drilled none, and that is what I think this administration would like, to wean us off our fossil fuels--if we did not drill in America, what would be the cost of gasoline in America?

Why is this administration making it so difficult?

So we have a bipartisan support for more domestic exploration, and that is part of our problem.

I just want to see it replicated in all 50 states so we can protect this thing.

I have never heard of that. It is unprecedented.

We talked about a bill we passed out of here earlier this year, that the Veritis Group said that without that bill because of the intrusion of the governmental, the EPA, it was going to cost 316,000 jobs.

What are we doing then about this uncertainty?

If we are making decisions based on false information, it is only going to hurt a State like West Virginia.

I have learned here in my first year that there is a real credibility gap.
