David P. Roe is a former Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives, serving Vermont's 1st congressional district from January 4, 2005, to January 3, 2021. During his time in Congress, Roe was known for his focus on healthcare issues, particularly in relation to veterans and the military. He served on several committees, including the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs, where he advocated for improved services for veterans and their families.
To be competitive it is going to require skills right now that we don't have in Tennessee.

We can't do our job without adequate information. And when it is not--when the VA is not transparent--and that is why I think we are having this hearing tonight, is that we don't feel like--and I certainly don't--feel like that information…
I think us knowing what those contracts are, we could help you do your job better.

We have built a wall between the VA and this committee, and it is a steep wall.
the current process has been long open to manipulation, delay, and drawn out pre-election maneuverings.
the more successful an employer is in delaying a hearing, the more likely that there will be unlawful conduct.
