Let me just start off by saying that the problem with health care in this country is it costs too much.

In the next 8 to 10 years we can create 2-1/2 to 5 million manufacturing jobs if we become energy independent.

The price of energy affects us more than anything.

We can become energy independent in America, if we use all the resources we have, within 10 years.

The American worker is the best worker in the world.

We will not recreate the middle class in America until we recreate--bring manufacturing back to this country.

I will oppose because of what I have seen in many a government-run plan.

There were nine physicians in the House of Representatives, and I say this in all honesty, in all the years I served as a physician, I never saw a Republican heart attack or a Democrat heart attack.

It is the first time that hospital has laid off anybody. It laid off over 300 people.

I would like to see this delayed a year until we have a longer time to digest what was going on.

If we can get our economy cranked up and going, a lot of these problems go away because companies do want to do what you are doing at that great company in Richmond, Kentucky, is to provide jobs.

I believe a healthcare decision should be made between a physician, the patient, and that patient's family.

I can tell you, in the military I received none, and one of the reasons was military sexual trauma was occurring.

We believe that our Nation has no higher obligation than to ensure that the men and women who have served in our Armed Forces receive all the benefits and services owed to them in a timely manner.

I truly don't. When something's working, the VSOs wanted it and it turns out that they were absolutely right, it has worked very well.

One of the--as Mr. Scott and Barbara both mentioned, the most common thing that a Congressman, probably everybody up here has, are a backlog of VA claims--why can't they get adjudicated quicker?

It is a false narrative to say that you can't carry on a respectful campaign and have a secret ballot.

Why can't employees elect to have or not have a union using a secret ballot?

The unions win most of these elections; the majority of them.

That is what you do in a free country. You vote and you have an election and whoever wins, wins.
