There are 24 people that need a job in El Paso, Texas and there is money there to fund it. So why aren't those positions filled?

I have been here six years and change on this committee and we have increased the budget 74 percent. It is not money. It is management.
If we are to move this bill forward, I would commit to using the savings from these changes...
Shifting Voc Rehab to a paperless system will speed up the application process...
My bill would also encourage and authorize the Secretary to prioritize VR&E services based on need...
I do believe VR&E is constantly improving, and I appreciate the work the VR&E service director...
What is the retention problem? When you hire people, there is this huge turnover.
No one is held accountable when these egregious events occur. And it's just business as usual.
If you do that in the private world under a government contract with Medicare, you're in deep trouble in the private world.
