The ACA already is costing jobs in the health broker community because of misguided regulations concerning the medical loss ration requirements.
Higher health care costs put additional pressures on the employers' bottom line and increase the cost of hiring new workers.
I agree with Mr. Pollack. What I would like to see in this country is that all Americans have affordable health insurance coverage, or as close to 100 percent as we can get.
I hope this hearing and my testimony contributes to that understanding as it relates to PPACA's grandfathering and MLR provisions.
I came to Congress to try to do that. Unfortunately, I wasn't included in the discussion of it very much.
The problem with the American health care system, after practicing medicine for over 30 years, was that it cost more and more and more for patients to come and see me, to go to the hospital to get the care they need.
