When one closes down a nuclear power plant, it means lost jobs.

Why should the taxpayers have to be the ones?

The legislation that I am offering would require licensees to consult with the host State and State and local governments within 50 miles of the plant.

Under SAFSTOR, one of the proposals to decommission nuclear power plants, spent fuel rods could remain in pools at the plant for 50 or more years.

Let me conclude by saying: I hope everybody pays attention to what the Koch brothers stand for. With that, I yield the floor. ____________________
