The Public Record
the United States has got a job problem, if you all haven't figured that out by now, and that we shouldn't be piling on regulations that are killing jobs.
But you understand that there's always a trade-off, and that sometimes it is--you know, you can't make the world perfect.
One of the problems that we have in my area where we have lost a lot of jobs is that even if we accept some of the policies of Dr. Bivens, the people who are gaining are not Americans.
We need to look at the whole world situation and make sure that we are not destroying American jobs.
I have been concerned about a number of EPA regulations related to similar things like what happens when you raise the cost of electricity and the people my district can't afford to heat their homes.
I have learned here, at least what I have been told, is that if we have a law on the books as a result of these rules, we have to fund that whether we have the money or not.
I thought that is what reauthorization was, that if you ran out of authorization, that was a sunset.
