We see again in the Commonwealth and in Colorado and in Idaho, these just stark reminders of senseless violent crime. And so much of it is really a moment to reflect on the state of mind of America and Virginia and this mental health crisis that we know we are in the middle of.
This is a horrendous event. It's a horrendous, senseless act of violence.
President Trump is going to do what President Trump wants to do. And it's not my job to decide who should run and who shouldn't run.
I won`t mandate it, but my family and I made the choice to get vaccinated. The vaccine is the best way to protect our lives and loved ones. So I`m asking you, as your friend and your neighbor, please get the vaccine, and we can get through this together.
I am a little bit frustrated that it`s become -- the media paid so much attention to it. It`s my 17-year-old son. And I really would like everybody to leave my family alone.
I regret that this happened and it shouldn't have. I've addressed it with my team, we must continue to work to bring Virginia's together. There is so much more that unites us than divides us.
So unfortunately, he's depriving Virginia public school students of the same benefits that he gave to his own children, they are getting an education, where they're not going to be taught to challenge ideas and to have a free exchange of ideas.
