Isn't it also true that the DHS could have detained most of these criminal aliens, but simply chose not to?
Why should we negotiate if we can't trust the President to enforce the laws as they exist.
I appreciate the President's recognition of the importance of doing immigration reform.
That makes doing immigration reform harder, not easier.
And any assistance the U.S. gives to them to help secure that border with Guatemala I think will pay dividends for both Mexico and the Unite...
I think it was the absolutely correct decision.
