This is a travesty my friends, and there's a difference.

This wasted time is causing irreparable damage to millions of students nationwide.

It baffles me that the response from our friends on the other side of the aisle seem to be that we're being too mean or unfair to teachers unions.

The Biden administration has relied too much on the desire of the teachers unions, causing unnecessary, prolonged closures that continue to inflict real harm on children lacking a home or stable family life.

Many people in the blue states are leaving because they want their kids to go to school and have a normal life.

House Republicans will not stop fighting to reopen schools across this country until every one of them has unlocked their doors.

There's a difference in the teachers that love their profession... and those that are leading these unions that obviously have a different agenda.

For these children school is so much more than a place to learn.

Ensuring all children have opportunities to achieve the American Dream must never be a partisan issue.

Racial segregation and inequities in education are not just chapters in a history book for me. I lived and experienced them first-hand.

Being raised by teachers myself I understand that. And let me say this. Your concerns you have, what you're going through has absolutely nothing to do with Medicare for all, defunding the police, wealth, and meeting your tax, 500 billion…

The longer the schools stay closed, the further our children fall behind, particularly those in disadvantaged groups.

I respectfully request that you extend RECA and expand the coverage area to include Clark County and Mohave County.

Reparations is not the way to right our country's wrong. What I propose later will be more lasting.

It is impractical and a nonstarter for the United States Government to pay reparations.

Instead of that theory, I would like to share the reality of a race whose history of success in America has been stolen and what we can do to repair that damage.

The reality is that Black-American history is not one of a hapless, hopeless race oppressed by a more powerful White race.

First, let me reiterate that slavery was and still is evil, whether it be the 83-year history of our Nation or the prior 2,000-year history or the presence around the world today.

The reason why my race were kicking butt--the history is not being told--they were beating--they were so busy, they weren't looking at finding somebody to blame for where they were.
