The burden that the American taxpayer is carrying these days is well more than what it should--what he or she should be carrying.
This resolution is about division. Reporting it our favorably is irresponsible and ignores the bipartisan oversight work this committee is conducting.
I intend to vote for this legislation on committee to allow it to continue to progress to a conference with the Senate.
We cannot offer the greatness of America to the rest of the world until we take care of our own domestic policy.
