I will never forget how painful it was to see so many people suffer.

I am proud to say that both parties came together to pass supplemental relief packages that provide billions of dollars to the Disaster Relief Fund and the National Flood Insurance Program.

It's important that we learn from the lessons of each of these storms so we are better prepared in the future.

You get an assignment with a drop-dead date and you do the assignment.

I am dead serious. I want to know who and what did they fail to do?

To combat cybersecurity threats, we need DHS to hire the best possible work force because there is just too much at stake.

Every day nation-state actors, such as Russia, China, Iran, and other cyber criminals are increasingly hacking into U.S. companies and Government networks to conduct espionage or steal intellectual property.

I hope I am hearing positive things that the Senate will actually pass our Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection Agency Bill.

I must say though, unfortunately, the Department has never used this hiring authority.

I called for the extradition of Russians who had been indicted for election interference, so they could be 'held accountable and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.'

I called on President Obama to 'send a clear signal to Moscow: attempts to influence U.S. elections or interfere with our democratic system will be met with severe consequences.'

Russian interference in our electoral process and the undermining of our democratic institutions by a foreign adversary must never be tolerated.
