I would bow to Chairman Pryor as really the leader in the bill that was passed, and there are some very good parts to it.

Kay Bailey Hutchison is a former U.S. Senator from Texas, serving from 1993 to 2013. A member of the Republican Party, she was the first woman to represent Texas in the Senate. During her tenure, Hutchison was known for her work on issues such as space exploration, military funding, and education. She played a significant role in advocating for NASA and was a strong supporter of human spaceflight initiatives. Hutchison also served as the chair of the Senate Republican Conference and was involved in various bipartisan efforts throughout her career.
I think it is important that we have the full Commission to look at it, and I would agree that a common sense approach is what is needed right now in order to have the best results.
I hope you will also look at Central and South America as a way to use trade and investment opportunities to help shore up democracies and stability in our own hemisphere.
I think that this particular youth ATV issue is one where perhaps there is going to need to be some new flexibility
I think your point is well taken, that really radio does do that, but are you saying you think there could be more investment in in-depth programming than is being done today?
I think it is great too, and particularly I think their children's programming on television is the best in the business.
We are all thrilled that the President recognizes Chris's great talents and professionalism and has reached across the aisle to nominate him for this important position at the Department.
I understand that the Corporation for Public Broadcasting is responsible for balanced and objective programming, and I will make every effort to make sure that radio and television continue to do that.
