We are here to today, at the start of National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, to discuss what I believe is one of the defining public policy challenges of our generation--the cybersecurity posture of the United States.
But make no mistake--the cybersecurity challenges we face are about much, much more than simply protecting bottom lines, or intellectual property, or even our Nation's most Classified information.
Why should Congress have any assurance that the next attempt will be successful, especially given how aggressive the schedule appears to be?
Chairman Ratcliffe, several studies have proven that diverse teams wins and specifically in the private sector, diversity has been shown to positively impact bottom-line revenues.
When I am in Mississippi, all too often, I get asked why so much focus is placed on importing cybersecurity talent from overseas instead of cultivating the talent we have here at home.
