I think what Job Corps brings is hope for the future, a safe haven for students to achieve high school diplomas.

Many would be forced to return home to a home life with extreme challenges, no work, lack of skills, lack of education.

I think what makes me proud, and possibly a lot of my colleagues, is making a difference in the lives of students.

My contention is that, inherent to American citizenship, is the right to have an opportunity, and that Job Corps creates opportunity for young people in circumstances wherein often that opportunity is too difficult to find.
