Henry Cuellar

Henry Roberto Cuellar is a U.S. Representative for Texas's 28th congressional district, serving since January 4, 2005. A member of the Democratic Party, Cuellar has focused on issues such as border security, economic development, and education throughout his tenure. He has been an advocate for bipartisan solutions and has worked on various initiatives to support his constituents in South Texas. Cuellar has held several key positions within the House, including serving on the Appropriations Committee. His legislative efforts often emphasize the importance of funding for local projects and addressing the needs of the border region. I don't want the private sector just to depend on the Federal Government, and, at the same time, we want the private sector to do its fair share.
I think there are cuts to programs dealing with critical infrastructure, bombing prevention, school safety, and other programs that ensure the security of public gathering spaces.
As we all know, cyber threats pose a significant risk to our national security, our economy, and our way of life.
Back in 2010, I changed legislation that modernized the performance, results-oriented government legislation that got passed in the 1990s.
