I hope that those who listen will be somewhat informed or enlightened after we are through. Madam Speaker, most observers agree that our national debt is about $5.7 trillion. That $5.7 trillion is composed of two separate and distinct different types of debt. The $1.7 trillion is the amount of money we, the people, owe to we, the people. It is a bookkeeping entry.
