I am so proud of the effect that this tax bill has had on my district.

We have below 4 percent national unemployment, record lows in African American and Hispanic unemployment.

I am talking about for a single individual and we doubled it for families too, from 12,000 to 24,000.

We lowered the tax liability from--we eliminated taxes on anybody--an individual who makes 12,000 or less.

71 percent of Americans think the economy is in good shape. That is a 20-year high.

If he makes $60,000 a year, his tax is $9,180 today. And under Mr. Larson's plan, which adds 2.4 percent, that is another $1,440.

The median household income is $60,000. A self-employed guy, could be an artist, like my brother, for example, could be a truck driver, could be an Uber driver, could be anybody.

We have got to do something about that.

So what we are doing is we are actually converting this from a premium to a tax.

Social Security is a promise that the government, our government made to our seniors.
