The Marine Air Corps Station in Beaufort is experiencing a housing crisis.

Oh, there is definitely a housing issue down there.

It is probably the biggest challenge we have in housing in my district would be that particular one.

There is a military population of around 12,000 in Beaufort County.

But I am most concerned about, obviously, the 1st congressional district of South Carolina.

It pains me greatly to see the quality of health care go down, the quality of housing go down.

Quality of life initiatives are supremely important to our Sailors, Soldiers, and Airmen, and are not only beneficial from a recruiting and retention standpoint, but they are directly tied to our military readiness.

The success of our Nation's children should not be a partisan issue.

It will fix a whole plethora of the issues that the surviving community faces and giving them the opportunity to choose how they move forward with their life without it being dictated by our benefits being dangled in front of us.

It is crazy to me to see that this is the way we treat our veterans and their spouses and their children.
