Joe Graves Wilson is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for South Carolina's 2nd congressional district since 2001. A member of the Republican Party, he has been involved in various legislative efforts during his tenure in Congress. Wilson is known for his focus on issues such as military and veterans' affairs, education, and energy policy. He has also been active in promoting economic development in South Carolina.
Last, I would like to express my strong support for Mr. Ted Lieu's H.R. 3571, the City and State Diplomacy Act.
I would also like to thank my colleague, Mr. Lee Zeldin, for his hard work on H.R. 630, the Counterterrorism Screening Assistance Act of 2019.
This important resolution sends a strong message of support to the Iranian people and I thank Chairman Deutch for his work.

With the President's recent comments about pulling our troops out of Syria and keeping quote a peacekeeping force, how will this force accomplish any of the six objectives that you and General Milley have highlighted in your statements?
I believe that ISIS materialized, Mr. Secretary, because of the vociferous withdrawal from Iraq under the previous administration.
I think where we had good base commanders it was taken serious and then in other areas maybe poor base command allowed part of these things to happen.
I think those provisions will be struck; that that is unacceptable to me to ask an 18-year-old soldier straight out of high school to sign a contract that makes him responsible for the legal fees of a multimillion-dollar corporation.
Each one of you were very perceptive and show a deep concern for the people of Lebanon.
These protests are, in effect, a popular vote of no confidence, not just in the current government, but in the entire Lebanese political system writ large.
