Not only was this action done in advance of sequestration, I believe it was done purposely as another tactic to scare Congress and the American public.

It seems the reports of disaster are greatly exaggerated.

Doomsday rhetoric to put fear into the American people is not the way our Government should operate--especially now that most of these predictions have not come to fruition.

If properly planned, budget cuts, due to sequestration, should not dangerously compromise our homeland security.

We promised our veterans the moon but instead we have failed in many instances to provide our veterans with the most basic of care.

Unfortunately, when I talk to veterans today, they don't believe that our government is living up to our promises.

It is saddening and disgraceful that our Veterans Administration fails to respond to the needs of these veterans with the same timeliness.

It may be more cost effective and create a non-biased, scientific based fisheries management plan by defunding NMFS immediately.
