Henry McMaster is an American politician serving as the 117th governor of South Carolina since January 24, 2017. A member of the Republican Party, he previously held the position of Lieutenant Governor from January 14, 2015, to January 24, 2017, and served as the Attorney General of South Carolina from January 14, 2009, to January 11, 2011. McMaster has been an advocate for various issues, including offshore drilling and pro-life policies, reflecting his commitment to conservative values.
