Chairman, thank you for hosting this hearing and, as I indicated to you, two committees that I love the most, Judiciary and Homeland Security.

I do know and I am concerned about the numbers of people who I have heard have been inappropriately purged from the voter rolls who are citizens who have voted in the past and who, for whatever reason, got those letters.

Traditional Muslim attire and growing facial hair is an indicator of extremism.

The Arabic mind is swayed more by ideas than by facts.

So the $20 million would undermine the progress. Would you commit to me as well of engaging with industry to make sure the surface inspectors are trained to the industry, or to the rail system that they are looking at?

Do you recommend that $15 million at issue, and could it be directed to enhance other security operations?

So $50 million that is now reduced out of FAM's budget, how would that impact----

You have got to tell TSA's story. I have said that over and over again.

I take issue, however, with the title of today's hearing because I do believe that the 40,000-plus numbers of TSO officers are in fact the majority committed to the service of this Nation.

As you well know, we have had a number of cabin security issues. I have asked the Chairman for a cabin security hearing.

Did you say that that dual system would cost the taxpayers more?

I want you to take your imagination because imagination turns out to be truth, of how far reaching could this be.

What I would say as I close, Mr. Chairman, is that there is no doubt that transportation security inspectors are a valuable asset.

I think currently, and I have to say what I observe and that is that we don't see the current cadre of surface transportation inspectors that are focusing on freight rail transportation are as effective as they possibly could be.
