There is probably not one of us that could not count our relatives--four uncles in World War II.

The enormity of people in Nigeria are not corrupt and are looking for opportunities to do what is being said in this committee.

It is really an international issue, and it really is an issue that will impact the United States maybe at some point.

I truly believe that the religious aspect looms very large. Because this started many years back and Christians were at the direct hit of Boko Haram.

It is for Nigeria to create a relief fund and for the State Department to encourage them to do something for all of those families and pronounce it publicly and nationally.

If we can pursue this--I do not think you answered--thank you--the question on consumer price and your efforts to contain the price that the consumer has with this merger.

I just want to put on the record my concern about the lack of service regarding the Astros and the Rockets.

We may have to look at a legislative construct that responds to all of the comments being made today.

You would be open to them to spinning off?

I think my concern is whether it would be even-handed across 50 States.

FEMA goes right in to the heart of the crisis.

I have been on this committee since the heinous tragedy of 9/11, on the select committee that helped formulate the Department and this committee, and I am reminded of how stark the needs are of the local communities when a tragedy hits.

This is a program that, at least from the local level, I can tell you that, granted it can always be improved, but it is something that has worked relatively well from our standpoint.

If it was to be structured where those grants or those dollars would come directly to the local municipality.

I am also interested in an issue that I probably will have long years to overcome, and that is to be able to directly give these Federal dollars to local municipalities.
