This hearing is about eliminating and overruling Roe v. Wade.

America has moved forward, and it is not going to go backwards.

We should be going forward and not backwards in this country.

This would further deny healthcare to women.

Planned Parenthood is simply a group where 3 percent of its work is abortion. Ninety-seven percent of its work is about health for poor women.

I want to end on celebrating the bravery and the sacrifice of those who lost their lives.

We can leave no one behind, and certainly those who now live or those who have passed, tragically, since 9/11.

I would like to submit into the record, Mr. Chairman--and I am going to combine a question to the mayor--H.R. 2795.

I want to ask the question, the value of consistent funding for police departments.

I think it should be noted here in New York, Mayor, that this is one of the most bipartisan committees in the United States Congress, and I am grateful for it.

It is important that we not lose the focus on making sure that we have the right amount of people staffed properly and properly trained.
