Will we protect this democracy that I know the committee will show the American people came perilously close to collapsing under the weight of the January 6 insurrection, incited by a president?

Nobody is above the rule of law. Nobody is beyond his own oath.

Thank God, they do actually respect taking the oath to tell the truth.

This was a corrosive, purposeful intent to undermine confidence in the election, culminating several years later, almost 10 years later with an insurrection on our Capitol.
