We must continue to support SNAP, the Senior Farmers' Market, and senior food boxes, and I look forward to this Committee continuing support of seniors and their access to proper nutrition.

The opposition to a lot of these cuts is bipartisan. The bad news is the impact on one senior could be devastating.

To say that is devastating does not begin to describe it.

Today far too many older Americans do not know where their next meal is coming from, as Senator Collins just outlined.

I strongly urge you to support senior food box programs, food banks, and other programs that help people like me.

In 2014, 10.2 million seniors aged 60 and up faced this terrifying insecurity.

Thank you, Chairman Collins, for holding this hearing and for allowing us to discuss the issue of nutrition among older Americans and food insecurity as well.

It is essential that our conservation dollars achieve maximum environmental benefits.

I have heard from many Pennsylvanians who are disappointed in how USDA has implemented the Regional Conservation Partnership Program.

The Obama administration rightfully refused granting it, and I know this administration will continue that stance.

The administration committed repeatedly to making trade fair for U.S. workers.

I have strong disagreements with the budget proposed by the administration on a number of fronts.

Well, that is what we are told. And we can confirm that. We are also told that USTR has four people handling all labor issues. Does that make sense?

He did his job. He went above and beyond his duty.

I stepped up because he could not.

We need to do a far better job of giving them the support that those who have borne the battle have earned.

We do need to eliminate this disparity.
