I support high-speed rail in California and I also support the high speed, to the extent they can get it, in Michigan and Illinois and in Texas and even in Florida if it happens.

If it does not make sense, they do not do it, and if they are going to do it for Brussels or for Berlin, they are going to make that city put forth a good chunk of the money.
First of all, I just want to remind my good friend from Florida that in Europe where they are making these investments, they use a cost-benefit analysis and it is brutal.
I think it is extremely important that we are listening to the stakeholders out there...
As I have previously noted before, the rail reauthorization is one of the committee's top priorities.
Our role in the Transportation Committee is to make sure that we are investing money wisely in infrastructure.
I still think we have to take a real hard look at what we are doing in California.
That is our biggest challenge we face moving forward, and so we need to--as I have said over and over, we have got to look at all of the options that are out there and look at some new options to funding the transportation system.
