We have inherited a deep debt and a budget that didn't and fiscal policies that actually were not sustainable.

I want to deal with it and I want to act fiscally responsibly.

I commend Senator Arlen Specter for working quickly to convene this field hearing to shine light on the reports of an ongoing and serious pattern of error in prostate cancer care at the Philadelphia VA.

If we are to grow this economy, if we are going to enable businesses to be able to have the capital to make the investments...

It is going to be very real to American families if they have more money in their paycheck after a decade of stagnant wages.

I believe it is our fundamental responsibility to improve health outcomes and to expand access to affordable, meaningful health coverage to every American.

The choice we are faced with is, do we do nothing? Or do we actually tackle this issue?

I am circulating a bill today that is going to address many of those issues and I hope answer many of those questions.

The fact is my understanding was this was purposefully set up to discuss employer-based health care.

I am very supportive of the use of technology and health IT.
