I wanted to say, as drafted, that my concern, of course, is that it would poison the U.S. relationship within the U.N.

Agreement on this really requires us to find a way forward, to find that common ground, and to meet our obligations to Americans.
It seems to me that while there were some different ideas that each of you shared, but there quite a bit of bipartisan agreement here on the fact that our budget process is not broken.
The key to this, again, it is not that the budget process itself; it is compromise, it is fundamental fairness.
Process does not address political will and I think that it was made even clearer that without real agreement between the president and Congress we can choose to ignore our own decisions.
The Republican plan to convert Medicare into a voucher program means that seniors will no longer have access to a guaranteed set of health benefits.
Despite Republican claims, IPAB is not a 'death panel' nor is it a 'rationing board.' That is merely scare tactics.
I have and continue to be a very strong supporter of the Affordable Care Act because it will extend access to affordable, meaningful health coverage to all Americans.
This is significant because it shows how much Democrats think this is hurting them politically.
