Ultimately, this issue is about fairness.

We have been down with another hearing on Equifax and the little data breach issue that only affected 145.5 million Americans.

Thank you, Chairman Burgess, for holding this important hearing to consider long overdue reforms to FDA's inefficient and outdated framework for regulating over-the-counter (OTC) drug products.

We have proven time and again in the committee, we know how to legislate in a bipartisan way to get good things done for the American consumers.

I appreciate your holding the hearing on these important issues and the long overdue reforms needed at the FDA.

They cost us hundreds of millions of dollars a year.

To really make a big change in air quality, we need to address how we manage our public forests.

We need to improve both; I recognize that.

I want to focus on this air quality issue, especially as it relates to wood stoves and what is happening in the West.

We have to change this policy.

So we have to do better as a country.

It's time for Congress to legislate the rules of the internet, and stop the ping-pong game of regulations and litigation.
