If you have been a small business owner who has received this help, it has been a lifesaver.

We have seen money go to big businesses disguised as small ones while mom-and-pop shops on Main Street wait for Congress to add more money to the pot.

The easiest way to address this concern is to begin the process of safely reopening the economy.

As a small business owner, I feel it is my duty to speak up for them in D.C. as we fight to defeat this virus and provide relief for the American people.

Congress must work to ensure that the PPP remains available to struggling businesses going forward during this crisis.

It reflects our value system, and yet we are not even going to pass a budget.

Maybe if we produced a budget, we could spend all this energy that we have been spending in Congress reconciling the differences between the President's budget and our budget.

So it is very troubling. And for my colleagues across the aisle to disregard that as a responsible--a constitutional duty of their office to be on this committee is just dumbfounding.

What is unacceptable is the Democrats have been playing partisan games with coronavirus.

It is very frustrating for people to call my office--they know I am on the Budget Committee--and ask the question, 'Why are the Democrats putting a budget on the floor?'
