every day children, young people, adults and seniors come to these hallowed halls to look to Congress for leadership, to set the example, to show democracy in action, to have a real debate and discussion on juvenile justice, gun control, and gun safety. When tragedy strikes, who else should they look to but Congress to make the right decisions, to make the decisions that will affect their lives? To the woman from the 11th Congressional District of Ohio whose son was a schizophrenic who was a convicted felon who purchased a gun in a gun show and came home and shot her, tell her it is enough. It is not enough. It is time today to go back to conference and come up with true gun safety and true gun control. That is what the people expect. It is not the will of Congress. It is the will of the people that we need to listen to and follow through on.
