“I appreciate very much Senator Sessions' comments, and even more I appreciate his work on this legislation. He was one of a couple of real key players in this legislation passing because he did such a good job of explaining to colleagues why this is a plus for American manufacturing and a plus for job growth in our country. I think about his comments, and the major opposition to this bill has been an accusation or a contention from opponents--whether from some Members of the Senate or the House or some newspapers or economists-- who say this would result in a trade war.
