Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the Senate proceed to S. Res. 377, submitted earlier today. The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will report the resolution by title. The legislative clerk read as follows: A resolution (S. Res. 377) recognizing the 50th anniversary of the historic achievement of John Herschel Glenn, Jr., in becoming the first United States astronaut to orbit the Earth. There being no objection, the Senate proceeded to consider the resolution.
