I rise today in strong support of House Resolution 343, condemning the remarks by Khalid Abdul Muhammad at Kean College in late November. I want to commend my colleague, Mr. Lantos, for bringing this matter to the floor. All of us in this body recognize his strong record on human rights and defense of the oppressed. As a survivor of the Holocaust, Representative Lantos knows the depth of suffering and how critical it is to denounce this type of bigoted speech anywhere and anytime. I intend to vote in favor of this resolution and ask that my colleagues join in condemning these evil and vicious remarks.
