I thank the gentleman, my classmate and colleague, Congressman Veasey. And to my colleague, Congresswoman Stacy Plaskett, thank you for convening tonight's Special Order for the Congressional Black Caucus. It flies in the face of the values and the freedoms enshrined in our Constitution. Mr. Speaker, I am here because we had individuals in my district who were held in the New York airport, while many others weren't freed like they were. That is why I will continue to stand up to President Trump and stand with my people.
